Past
experience: I have a book coming out from Arcadia Publishing
in early 2006: "Detroit's Polonia" mipolonia.net/polonia.net.
I also have two additinal books in progress" one on Mt. Olivet
Cemetery (Detroit) and a general "how to" book for Polish
Genealogy. I have also received my certification so I'm a Certified
Genealogist (sm).
I have
written successful grants for Rochester Community Schools and Adams
High School, Rochester Hills, Michigan. The grants received ranged
from $500.00 from the Rochester Chamber of Commerce, $5,000 from
Adobe Corporation, $30,000.00 from Microsoft Corporation and $150,000
from Michigan's School to Work Program. The grants all required
the integration of technology with traditional academic areas of
study. I have also read grant applications for TCI Corp. Denver,
Co. Worked with General Motors, Pontiac to create an online intranet
museum. |

| Suggestions
for public humanities projects: I am interested in helping communities,
organizations, museums, galleries and schools statewide develop interdisciplinary
programs. Helping ethnic organizations develop multimedia materials
(including digital photo and video, Cds and websites) to advance their
mission. I have worked with English as Second Language programs to
develop visual materials to disseminate information. My expertise
has been in developing local programs that have a global reach.
Example:
Students working with an international classroom using traditional
and electronic materials.
The program "Global Village Project" (GVP) began at Adams
High School and was replicated in middle schools in Rochester and
Farmington Hills, MI., Porto Madryn, Argentina and Melbourne, Australia.
International partners included Japan, Russia, Cuba, Germany, Netherlands,
and Quebec. GVP received a program of Excellence Award from the
Michigan Education Association.

| Comments:
The Michigan Polonia website (http://mipolonia.net)
offers Michiganians services to find their ancestral villages in Europe
including online contacts with Polish researchers. I have developed
seminars to help kids stay safe on the Internet. I volunteer
at the Family History Center in Bloomfield Hills. |
