Past experience: I am also a member of the board of directors of the Grosse Pointe Arts Council and participate in advocacy programs sponsored by the council. Additionally, I serve as the President & Executive Director of the Emerald Sinfonietta, a 501(c)(3) performing arts orghization whose mission is to combine artistic excellence wtih community outreach services.

 
Suggestions for public humanities projects:

Symposium on "Arts and Morality" that would include discussions re: First Amendment rights, copyright, etc. geared toward performing artists. This symposium should be state-wide, perhaps based in Lansing.
