Arts & Humanities Media Project

The Michigan Humanities Council and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs partners with Michigan Public Media to create and broadcast radio and television reports exploring the role of arts and culture in Michigan.

Video

In 2006, the Michigan Humanities Council enhanced its partnership with Michigan Public Media and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs to bring arts and humanities topics to television. The result is more than 15 three-minute video segments. Each are broadcast on WFUM-TV and other public television stations across Michigan. The segments also play at several Secretary of State offices.

Radio

The Arts & Humanities Radio Project includes hundreds of short radio reports, exploring topics such as artists, performances and cultural organizations, examination of arts issues, trends in artistic thinking, religion, art history, social science, and history. Radio reports can be heard on Michigan Radio: WUOM, WFUM, WVGR; and, Michigan Public Radio Network member stations across the state including WDET, Interlochen Public Radio, WEMU, WKAR, WGVU, and WMUK.
