The Capital City Film Festival (CCFF) celebrates artists from around the world by curating outstanding multimedia experiences for the community. The annual festival showcases an eclectic mix of independent films, live music, interactive media, and more in Michigan’s capital city. 2024 Michigan Humanities funded projects:
- ‘Investigating Incarceration: Artists for Healing and Reform’ (short films in partnership with LCC’s Take a Stand initiative); two filmmakers will be attending for a talkback.
- ‘A Movie is a Portal to Home’ short films by ishkwaazhe Shane McSauby and Jess X. Snow (in partnership with the MSU Womxn of Color Initiative) .
- A Two Hearted Tale playing with the short film Boogie Bob & Chuck Berry, filmmakers for both films will be there.
- Down by the Riverside; directors will be present and there will be a live folk performance by Jen Sygit as part of the event.
- ‘Fresh Coast‘ short films.
- Marqueetown; director and crew will be there for a talkback.
